Duddy, Moore together for September show

Two of Ireland's burgeoning Stateside-based pros, John Duddy and James Moore, will box on the same Mansfield, Massachusetts bill on September 17.

The duo were team mates on the Irish amateur team and, since Arklow man Moore moved out to New York this summer, the Irish middleweights have lived two doors away from each other in Queens. They also share the same management and training team.

Derry prospect Duddy, 26, unbeaten in eleven outings, will feature in an eight-round main-event fight against an as yet unnamed opponent next month.

Twenty-seven-year-old Moore is preparing for the first six-rounder of his fledgling pro career in Mansfield, but has more pressing matters as he faces former Golden Gloves winner Cory Jones tomorrow week in New York in his second fight.

2001 World Amateur bronze medallist Moore stopped Gabriel García earlier this month for a debut win.
