No champagne for NI's Carroll
Northern Ireland's Adam Carroll narrowly missed out on GP2 points today in Hungary after a battling drive through the field.
The Super Nova driver, who is facing a financial crisis which could end his season early, finished today’s race ninth, missing out on the points by one place.
Carroll’s slim title hopes are now effectively over after Heikki Kovalainen finished second behind Neel Jani to extend his championship lead to 10 points.
Carroll, whose team-mate Giorgio Pantano finished third, is 40 points adrift with nine races to go.
