A spin and puncture ended the chances for Ireland's Adam Carroll at the GP2 series at Silverstone today.

Pole-sitter Nico Rosberg claimed victory in race one of the GP2 series this afternoon as he finished 0.5 seconds ahead of series leader Heikki Kovalainen at Silverstone.
