Eastman set for German bout

Middleweight Howard Eastman is set to return to action against Berlin-based Arthur Abraham next month.

Eastman, who has not fought since losing his world title bout against Bernard Hopkins in February, has agreed to fight at the Nuremberg Arena on July 16.

Eastman’s promoter Mick Hennessy said: “I can confirm that I have verbally agreed terms for this contest with Abraham’s representatives Sauerland Promotions.

“We expect to receive contracts from them early next week. Of course nothing is definite until they are signed, but I foresee no reason why this fight won’t go ahead.”
