Karthikeyan aims for strong finish at Montreal
Narain Karthikeyan has his sights set on a strong result at Jordan’s new home grand prix this weekend.
Canada has become Jordan’s new spiritual home after they were bought out by the Midland Group and the Indian driver is hoping his first visit to Montreal will deliver a result to celebrate.
Yet again Montreal will provide a new challenge to the 28-year-old, who is in his first season in Formula One, but he is confident of adapting quickly.
He said: “The two North American races will be a bit difficult for me as I have never driven on these circuits which will be different from my team mate (Tiago Monteiro) who has already raced in Montreal when he was in Champ Car.
“However, I think I will enjoy driving in Canada as it seems to be very similar to Australia, a track that I particularly liked. I will have to spend the first sessions learning the layout but that should be okay.
“I know this is a circuit which has been quite successful for Jordan Grand Prix – I will give my all and try to have a good race and a good result for the team.”
