O'Sullivan beats Williams to reach Irish Masters final
Ronnie O'Sullivan tonight reached the final of the Fáilte Ireland Irish Masters, beating Mark Williams 9-5 at the CityWest Hotel.
Leading 5-3 at the interval, O'Sullivan went on to scrap out a victory against the out-of-sorts Williams.
Both players struggled to find the form of the first session this evening, although O'Sullivan did manage to score a 104 break in the 10th frame.
Earlier the Rocket looked to be on his way to a whitewash of the Welshman as he won the first four frames in a row.
But Williams steadied himself and replied with four of his own to make the score 4-4.
O'Sullivan took the next with a break of 91 and took the final frame before the interval with a break of 63.
O'Sullivan will now play another Welshman, Matthew Stevens, in the final tomorrow. Stevens beat Robert Milkins in a final frame decider in last night's semi-final, winning the last four frames on the bounce.
