World Champion Michael Schumacher does not know how long he will carry on racing – but believes he will “feel” when it is time to quit.
He has a contract with the Ferrari team until the end of 2006 by which time the seven-time champion will be approaching 38.
But the German insists that he will honour his deal unless his body tells him otherwise.
“For years I have been asked how long I will remain driving in F1 and I have always responded in the same way: that I do not see the end, I feel it,” he said at the team’s winter retreat in Madonna di Campiglio.
“I have a contract with Ferrari until the end of 2006 and I intend to respect it.”
