Heidfeld impresses
Nick Heidfeld boosted his chances of securing a race drive with Williams today by delivering a quick testing display at Jerez.
The German is fighting it out with Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia for the right to partner Mark Webber at Williams next season.
Williams have already confirmed both drivers have signed contracts for 2005 but are yet to decide who will take the race seat and who will concentrate on testing.
Heidfeld pushed his case today by outpacing Webber to top a four-car session in Spain.
Webber was second quickest while BAR testers Anthony Davidson and Enrique Bernoldi were third and fourth respectively.
