Parrott hopes to role back years today

Former world champion John Parrott faces Mark King in the quarter final of the Travis Perkins UK Championship today while top remaining seed Stephen Lee faces Stephen Maguire.

Today’s quarter-finals are certainly the more glamorous pair with 1991 world champion Parrott facing King, who has beaten world number two Mark Williams and, in a late-night epic, Alan McManus so far.

In the other match, rapidly emerging Scottish star Stephen Maguire, hot favourite to land the title, meets world number nine Stephen Lee, the highest-ranked player still involved.
