Dutch driver Albers to test with Jordan
Eddie Jordan has revealed his high hopes for Dutchman Christijan Albers as he prepares to test with the Jordan Grand Prix team.
Albers visited Jordan Grand Prix’s Silverstone factory this week for a seat fitting in preparation for testing on December 1 in Jerez, Spain.
The 25-year-old Dutchman will begin Jordan’s first test session since the end of the 2004 season and the team will test for an additional three days in Jerez until December 4 with an interim chassis and 2004 spec Cosworth engines.
Drivers for the remainder of the test will be announced shortly.
Eddie Jordan said, “Christijan is a quick and committed up-and-coming talent, as we’ve seen in German F3 and this year in DTM. We have a mutual sponsor in Trust so we have been watching his career with interest.
"I have wanted to test him for some time so I am glad that the opportunity has finally come - it’s an exciting time for all of us.”
