World record, but no medal for Callaghan

Lisa Callaghan's new world F37 record of 24.12 metres failed to garner her a medal finish in the javelin final in Athens this morning.

With points determining the podium finishers in an event for Cerebral Palsy athletes of varying disability, the 21-year-old Meath woman finished fifth, an agonising 158 points away from bronze.
