Team Ireland take on biking, show-jumping and 10,000m

The Irish team is in action in mountain biking, show-jumping and the women’s 10,000m event at the Olympic Games in Athens today.

Jenny McAuley is in action now in the women’s mountain bike final, which started just after 9am. She finished third in Cyprus earlier this year and is hoping for a similarly high finish today.

Elsewhere, Kevin Babington, Jessica Kuerten and Cian O’Connor are involved in the final of the show-jumping event. The first round is at 2pm and the second at 6.30pm.

Marie Davenport, meanwhile, is up against a formidable field in the final of the women’s 10,000m event, which gets underway at 7.50pm.
