The coach of injured Irish walker Jamie Costin, Pierce O’Callaghan, has described today as a “devastating day” for Irish athletics.

West Waterford walker Costin was travelling in a car that careered head-on into a lorry near his training camp at Porto Heli, 400 miles from Athens.
