Ireland's David Burrows registered an impressive third-place finish in race four of the Finn class yesterday and will be looking to build on that when the action gets underway today.

Ireland's David Burrows registered an impressive third-place finish in race four of the Finn class yesterday and will be looking to build on that when the action gets underway today.

The 27-year-old finished ninth in the first race of the day and improved his position by six places in the next which was won by Great Britain’s Ben Ainslie. Burrows is currently in 12th position.

Rory Fitzpatrick, who is back in 31st place after two rounds of the Laser competition, will have the chance to move up the standings in the two races scheduled for today.

Gerald Owens and Ross Killian are sitting in 16th position after four rounds of the men’s 470 competition and will compete in two rounds this afternoon.

Tom Fitzpatrick and Fraser Brown are also in action in the 49er class.

In equestrian, Edmond Gibney and Mark Kyle will compete in the dressage today.
