Mary King is poised for a dramatic late call-up to compete in the equestrian three-day eventing at Athens after Sarah Cutteridge was ruled out by an injury to her horse, The Wexford Lady.

The British Olympic Association have put forward Cutteridge as their intended replacement, and will now await approval from the Games organising committee.
