Schumi itching to get back

World champion Michael Schumacher cannot wait to get behind the wheel of his Ferrari in Hungary this weekend.

Schumacher has spent Formula One’s summer break training to remain at peak fitness for the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he is looking to set a new record for wins in a grand prix season.

Now he is desperate to return to racing as a seventh world title beckons.

He told his personal website, www.michael-schumacher-de: “The summer break is misleading because it suggests we do nothing.

“For Hungary you must be completely fit, otherwise you get tired quickly. Therefore you need to train more – and I did a lot.

“It is definitely time to get in the cockpit again. I can hardly wait now until I can go out of the pit lane on Friday again finally.”
