IOC suspends Slavkov

The International Olympic Committee today provisionally suspended Bulgarian member Ivan Slavkov and rescinded his accreditation to the Athens Olympics following allegations of bribery made in a BBC Panorama documentary.

IOC president Jacques Rogge took the unusual step of fronting a lunchtime press conference midway through the first day of the Executive Board meeting to reveal he was “an angry man”.
