Report: Ralf Schumacher to miss French Grand Prix

It has been reported that BMW Williams driver Ralf Schumacher will miss Sunday's French Grand Prix after his high-speed crash during the US Grand Prix.

He suffered a horrific collision at Indianapolis on June 20 when his car spun out of control and slammed into a wall before stoppping in the middle of the track.

The BBC reported that the 28-year-old has failed to recover from the accident and will miss the Grand Prix at Magny-Cours this Sunday.

The station also said Schumacher will be ruled out of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 11.

The German driver will be replaced by test driver Marc Gene.

BMW Williams bosses refused to confirm the reports and said that they had not ruled out the German driver's recovery in time for the French Grand Prix.

"We are still waiting for final medical reports before making a decision on who will race," said BMW Williams spokesman Liam Clogger.
