McLaren chief admits to errors

McLaren managing director Martin Whitmarsh has given a damning appraisal of the team’s performance in a season they would rather forget.

Eight grands prix into the year, McLaren are languishing in sixth in the constructors’ championship with a miserable 12 points while drivers David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen are 10th and 11th respectively in the drivers’ standings.
