BAR driver traps nerve during testing

Englishman Anthony Davidson had to undergo hospital checks after trapping a nerve while testing for BAR at Paul Ricard.

Davidson, who as the team’s third driver has impressed during Friday practice sessions at grands prix this season, was putting the BAR through its paces in France when he suffered the injury under heavy braking.

Davidson, from Hemel Hempstead, was taken to the circuit medical centre but then transferred to a local hospital for precautionary checks before being released.
