The setting will be unusual, but the grid will have a very familiar look to it when the first ever Formula One Grand Prix in the Middle East gets underway in Bahrain this morning.

Michael Schumacher will start on pole for the third time in three races, with his Ferrari team-mate Rubens Barrichello beside him.

Wialliams take the second row on the grid with Montoya in third and Ralf Schumacher in fourth.

Nick Heidfeld and Giorgio Pantano were 15th and 16th, respectively, for Jordan.
