Montoya casts shadow over Coulthard

David Coulthard admitted today it had been an “unusual” move by McLaren to announce the signing of Juan Pablo Montoya for 2005, but insisted the threat of being bumped from the team by the Colombian will not be weighing on his mind during the forthcoming season.

The Scot has returned to Melbourne, scene of his sole victory of last year, confident that if the new McLaren holds up he can not only get the better of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen but mount a significant title challenge.
