Sports Minister John O’Donoghue has announced plans to provide €5.3m in funding to Irish sporting organisations in preparation for this year’s Olympic Games.

Mr O’Donoghue said the money would be used to ensure that Irish athletes participating in the games enjoyed high-quality support services and facilities.
