Radcliffe named year's best runner

Paula Radcliffe has been named Runner of the Year for 2003 by Race Results Weekly, the leading USA wire service for distance running.

Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele, who won the IAAF World Cross Country long and short course gold medals in March and five months later won a thrilling world 10,000metres in Paris and a 5000m bronze, took the men’s award.
