Ruiz claims unanimous points victory

John Ruiz slogged out an ugly but unanimous points victory over Hasim Rahman to put himself in position for another heavyweight title shot.

The crowd were unimpressed by the action and booed in almost every round. Ruiz won the fight 118-110 on one scorecard, 116-112 on a second and 115-114 on a third.
