Heidfeld agrees Jordan drive

German driver Nick Heidfeld has agreed to join Jordan for the 2004 Formula One season provided the cash-strapped Irish-based team can find the funds to participate in next year’s world championship.

Heidfeld is set to fill the berth vacated by Italian Giancarlo Fisichella, who ironically has been signed by Sauber as a replacement for Heidfeld himself.
