Jimmy White and Steve Davis are still involved in the Travis Perkins UK Championship but only the Whirlwind will be picking up his cue for another tilt at the title.

There were contrasting fortunes for the sport’s legends at the Barbican Centre yesterday – White beating Scotland’s Drew Henry but Davis losing to Ali Carter.
