Doherty loses out to Bond

Nigel Bond knocked out Ken Doherty, a UK runner-up for the past two seasons, 9-7 at the York Barbican Centre last night.

The 38-year-old Derbyshire professional is now looking forward to a televised last 16 meeting against taxi driver’s son Joe Perry.
