Harrison lines up Detroit fight

British boxer Audley Harrison will appear on the Tokunbo Olajide fight card in Detroit on December 12.

British boxer Audley Harrison will appear on the Tokunbo Olajide fight card in Detroit on December 12.

Harrison's fight, against an as yet unnamed opponent, will not be part of his promotional company's (A-Force Promotions) three-fight deal with ESPN Boxing.

But Harrison will still have the opportunity to continue to increase his US fan base with a televised bout.

"My second fight of our deal with ESPN will happen early next year," said Harrison.

"I feel fortunate that as we work out the details on our agreement for the next fight, I'm still able to appear on ESPN2 and continue to showcase my talents to all the US fight fans.

"I look at this fight as an early Christmas present to myself as it, and the whole year for that matter, has been great for my career.

"I have stayed healthy and learned more professionally with each of my fights."

Harrison's year included five victories and fighting in two new continents - North America and Australia.

"I had a great year and I am looking forward to moving on in 2004 with a big fight against British heavyweight champion Danny Williams," said Harrison.

"After taking care of home, there will be no stopping me anywhere I fight as I am determined to become 'king of the ring'."
