Ten-times world champion Phil Taylor had to dig deep tonight to book his place in the semi-finals of the Paddy Power World Grand Prix at the expense of Alan Warriner.

Warriner spiced up their semi-final at the World Championship earlier this year by claiming it would be like a “boxing match”.
