Dwain Chambers roared into the final of the World Championships in Paris tonight as American Maurice Greene’s six-year reign came to an end.

Chambers clocked 10.06 seconds with team-mate Darren Campbell joining him in the final after finishing third in 10.12secs.

But former world holder Greene, who had claimed beforehand he was in the shape to score a fourth successive title success, could only struggle home seventh in 10.37secs.
