Prize money on offer for Friday's athletics at Santry
Following the successful staging on the 131st successive National Athletics Championships in Santry at the weekend, Athletics Ireland have announced there will be prize money on offer for the first three Irish athletes in the Fourth Dublin International Games on Friday night in Santry.
The country's top athletes will all be competing as well as a host of top class international athletes, including South African husband and wife pair of Matthew and Heidi Quinn (nee Seyerling).
Matthew is the current Irish All-Comers record-holder for the 100m and Heidi finished 5th in the 2000 Olympic 400m final behind Cathy Freeman in Stadium Australia.
World Indoor medallist Paul McKee will take part in the 200m and James Nolan will be hoping for better luck when he takes part in the world famous Morton Mile.
Athletes from over a dozen nations will be taking part.
