ICU announces England tour squad

The Irish Cricket Union has announced the following squad for the tour of England.

Paul Mooney, North County

Niall O’Brien (wicket-keeper), Railway Union

Boyd Rankin, Bready

John Thompson, Glendermott

Andrew White, North Down

Ireland will play Friends of Arundel at Arundel on Monday, August 18, MCC at Lord’s the following day, and the Free Foresters on August 20 at Eton College.

They face the Club Cricket Conference on Thursday, August 21 at Shenley.

Niall O’Brien is only available for the Arundel game while Dominick Joyce was unavailable for selection due to injury.

The squad contains two emerging Irish players in Thompson and Rankin.
