Sonia destroys competition in 3,000m race

A police escort finally got Olympic 5,000m silver medallist Sonia O’Sullivan to the North Down International Games in Bangor, Northern Ireland last night, after she missed a connecting flight from Manchester.

The long wait in Manchester did not affect O’Sullivan’s performance as she destroyed the 3,000m field in a race delayed especially for her.
