Team Ireland wins 32 gymnastics medals

Irish athletes have won 32 more medals in gymnastics events at the Special Olympics.

Aine Naughten won three golds, one silver and one bronze, while Ciara Richards, Aideen Harkin and Orla Daly all won two golds, one silver and one bronze each.

Elsewhere, Tara Leech won a gold, a silver and two bronzes, while Pauline Connell won two golds and two bronzes and Ailish Ring won two golds.

The doubles partnership of Joanne Donnell and June Webb also won bronze in the bocce last night, while the Irish soccer team is through to the Division Three final after beating the United States 2-1 at the AUL, with Martin McCormack and Sean Flemming getting the Irish goals.
