Nesbitt leads Donegal International Rally
Andrew Nesbitt (Subaru WRC) continues to dominate the Shell Donegal International Rally.
After seven stages of the second leg, 13 in total, he has a 46 second lead over the Subaru WRC of Eugene Donnelly.
Derek McGarrity, also in a Subaru, is third – a further 11 seconds behind.
Maurice Gass (Subaru WRC), fourth at the start of the second leg – crashed on this morning’s first stage while another top ten driver, Gareth Jones (Subaru Impreza) bowed out with engine trouble.
Local Donegal driver, Paul Harris (Subaru Impreza) is now in fourth as Peadar Hurson, who began the day in eight place is now fifth in a Subaru WRC. He reeled in Donegal driver, Daniel Doherty.
Eamonn Boland, despite incurring a two minute road penalty yesterday, is seventh in a top ten that also features the Group N cars of Seamus Leonard (Subaru) and his rival, Roy White (Mitsubishi).
The margin between them stands at 20 seconds.
The final place in the top ten is taken by Galway’s J.J. Fleming (Subaru WRC).
