World champ Schumacher wins Canada GP

Michael Schumacher has won Canadian Grand Prix for Ferrari to take him back to the top of the Drivers' Championship.

Michael Schumacher overtook Kimi Raikkonen in the drivers’ championship with victory in the Canadian grand prix in Montreal.

The German earned his sixth win on the circuit, finishing ahead of brother Ralf.

Less than a second separated the top three going into the closing stages and Alonso was also doing well to cling on to the leading trio’s coat-tails.

But it was Michael Schumacher who held on to take victory and move ahead of Raikkonen in the drivers’ championship by three points with the Finn coming in sixth.
