Keohane in strong position in Formula 3 races
Cork driver, Michael Keohane, racing with the Silverstone based team, Promatecme, recorded fourth
and fifth fastest times in today’s qualifiers for rounds five and six of the British Formula 3 Championship at Croft.
Australian, Will Davison, claimed a surprise pole position while championship leader, Alan van der Merwe will start tomorrow’s round five from off pole.
Keohane, who took second place in the opening race of the British F3 season at Donington, showed a fine turn of pace to slot his car on the second row along with Rob Austin.
The session was halted early when Nelson Piquet Jr, crashed heavily. Irish driver, Steven Kane
was edged out by Karun Chandhok in the Scholarship Class. Ivor McCullough is fourth in the category.
