Thailand's James Wattana leads Jimmy White 6-3 after today's first session at the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England.

Wattana raced into a four frame lead before the Whirlwind was able to get going, winning the next three frames.

But Wattana finished the session on a high, taking the last two, to lead 6-3 when the match resumes on Wednesday at 10am.
