Ebdon suffers Scottish blow

With the defence of his world title just 12 days away Peter Ebdon suffered the worst possible result at the Regal Scottish Open in Edinburgh today.

Ebdon, without a title win since becoming world champion last May, went down 5-2 to Ali Carter in his opening match.
