Brown, Draper pull out of Lausanne

Jon Brown (Sheffield AC) and Mark Draper (Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow AC) have withdrawn from the Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team for the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Lausanne.

An injury to his right hip flexor has prevented Brown, who was due to compete in the senior men’s 12km race, from completing the necessary preparations to compete well in Lausanne on March 29 and 30.

Draper, who was selected for the junior men’s race, has suffered from a partial collapse of the lung and is recovering in hospital.
