O'Sullivan rockets into lead

Ronnie O’Sullivan made a flying start to the European Open final in Torquay today when he opened up a 5-2 first session lead over Stephen Hendry in just 72 minutes.

The world number one, appearing in his first ranking event final for 15 months, compiled two centuries and a string of high breaks to move to within four frames of the title and £44,000 first prize.
