Fifa may postpone World Youth Championships

Fifa will discuss postponing the World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates, as war in Iraq looms.

Twenty-four teams, including Ireland and England, are due to take part.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter announced last month the championship could be postponed if military action is taken against Iraq.

He rejected the idea of staging the tournament elsewhere or cancelling it outright.

The three-week event kicks off on March 25, with the final on April 16. Fifa are to discuss the tournament's future on Thursday.
