O'Sullivan withdraws from Cross Country Championships

Irish athlete Sonia O'Sullivan has withdrawn from next month's World Cross Country Championships in Switzerland after aggravating an Achilles tendon injury.

The Cork runner pulled out of a recent race in Japan in order to rest the injury ahead of the Lausanne event, but she has since suffered a recurrence and will not be fit to participate.
