STAR qualified for their second successive ESB Men's Cup final after their easy 11 point win over an out-of-sorts Killester at the ESB Arena today.

They dominated the game from the opening tip and with Charles Mason and John Leahy in superb form, they opened up a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter (25-15).

Star controlled the second quarter and led 43-31 at the break. They increased this lead to 14 points at the end of the third (57-43) with only the inspirational play of Clyde Ellis keeping Dart Killester in contact with 10 minutes remaining.

The standard of play dropped in the final quarter but Star who were in complete control were never troubled and will hope to break their duck tomorrow when they contest their fourth final in six years.
