Loeb eats into Gronholm's lead
Frenchman Sebastien Loeb took a hefty chunk out of defending world champion Marcus Gronholm’s lead when the Monte Carlo Rally eventually resumed in the French Alps this morning.
The Citroen driver set the fastest time on the second stage – the first stage had been cancelled because spectators’ cars were parked in dangerous positions on the tight roads – to reduce his overnight deficit of 20 seconds to just 12.8 secs.
