Firman a contender for Jordan vacancy

Formula Nippon champion Ralph Firman has emerged as a contender for the vacant driver's position at Eddie Jordan's Formula One team.

However, the 27-year-old Briton has admitted that he is unlikely to be chosen ahead of Felipe Massa, who is the favourite to take over from Takuma Sato at Jordan because he can bring in the necessary €3m-plus sponsorship needed by the team.
