Notre Dame drawn against UCC in ESB National Cup

The draw for the men's semi-finals of the ESB National Cup took place in the National Basketball Arena this morning.

Notre Dame were drawn against Mardyke UCC Demons to play on Friday 31 January, 2003.

Demons make their return to the Finals weekend after a four-year absence, while Notre Dame are back to reclaim the Cup title they once made their own. Notre Dame last took the title in January 2000, for the fourth successive year.

On Saturday 1 February, Sx3 Star and Dart Killester will play the second semi-final.

Star have been defeated only once this season, they went down 67-91 to Killester on November 2, and will be looking to rectify that result in the Cup semi-final.

Drimnagh Dynamoes face Bausch & Lomb Wildcats on Friday 31 January while University of Limerick meet Tolka Rovers on Saturday 1 February.

The Senior Women's Semi-finals were pre-determined by the seeded draw.
