Ireland lose again at hockey World Cup
Ireland have slumped to their fourth consecutive defeat in Pool B of the women's hockey World Cup in Perth, Australia, today.
The Irish lost 6-0 to Holland after a second-half collapse saw their opponents net four goals in the space of just 10 minutes.
Holland were leading 1-0 at half-time thanks to a 14-minute penalty corner and had doubled their lead within one minute of the restart before the four goals in quick succession dashed Ireland's hopes of a comeback.
The result leaves the Irish bottom of Pool B, but they can still make the top-12 if they can secure victories in their remaining games against Spain, Japan and South Africa.
