The board of snooker’s under-pressure governing body have survived an attempt to remove them by 48 votes to 26 at an extraordinary general meeting in Shifnal, Shropshire, England.

The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association board has defeated the attempt by a group led by the likes of multiple world champions Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis and Terry Griffiths.
